PALISADE PEACHES (COLORADO PEACHES)
We will begin with the exceptional fruit that laid the foundation for our business in 1985. Palisade peaches have remained our most popular and sought-after item, serving as the cornerstone of our success. Renowned for their unparalleled sweetness and juiciness, these peaches are a staple of our offerings each year. The season begins with Cling and Semi-Cling varieties, which are known for their firm texture and rich flavor.Â
As the season progresses, we transition into Freestone peaches, which are highly prized for their ease of use and vibrant taste. The arrival of Freestone peaches officially marks the beginning of “Peak Season.” This is when these beloved fruits are most abundant and flavorful. Throughout the season, we take pride in providing the finest Palisade peaches, ensuring that customers experience the freshness and quality that have defined our business for decades. Â

APRICOTS
Colorado apricots usually begin to ripen in early July, helping to kick off the state’s fruit and vegetable season. These apricots, grown in the unique climate of Colorado, are prized for their distinct sweetness. This results from the combination of hot daytime temperatures and cooler nights. The season for these fruits is relatively short, typically lasting only until the end of July.
For those who are fans of apricots, it is advisable to purchase them early in the season to ensure the best selection.  They sell quickly! Given their limited availability, those eager to enjoy the fruit in its peak form should act quickly before they are gone. Whether eaten fresh or used in preserves, pies, or other recipes, Colorado apricots are a seasonal treat that shouldn’t be overlooked.

BING & RAINIER CHERRIES
Bing and Rainier Cherries typically start in Colorado mid-late June depending on the weather. Â We then move into Utah Cherries, Flathead Lake (Montana) Cherries, and generally finish out the Cherry season with Washington Cherries.

CHILE ROASTING
We proudly roast the finest green chile that Colorado has to offer. The majority of our chile is grown in the produce-rich areas of Brighton/Fort Lupton and Pueblo, ensuring it is always fresh. Additionally, we occasionally carry a selection of Hatch varieties throughout the season. Â Â Â CLICK HERE for more information.

COLORADO APPLES
Mid-August is generally the starting point for Colorado’s Apple harvest.  We carry numerous varieties of apples as they are harvested through September. Â

COLORADO ‘HEIRLOOM' TOMATOES
Have you ever had an heirloom tomato? If not, you’re in for a real treat! Â No, seriously! Heirloom tomatoes are truly remarkable, offering a variety of flavors, textures, and colors that set them apart from the standard tomato. These tomatoes are grown from seeds that have been passed down through generations, often resulting in unique and complex tastes.Â
Available from June through September, we proudly offer a wide range of lovally grown heirloom tomato varieties at our stand and at local farmers’ markets. Among our favorites are the Brandywine, known for its rich, sweet flavor, and the Cherokee Purple, which boasts a deep, smoky taste. Whether you’re adding them to a salad, sandwich, or enjoying them on their own, heirloom tomatoes are a delicious way to savor the best produce of the season. Â

COLORADO PEARS
Colorado pear harvest typically begins around the second week of August and continues through late September. Before harvest, pears are pressure tested to assess their ripeness, which is why most pears are picked while still green. If left on the tree to ripen, pears can quickly rot, which is why early harvesting is necessary. To achieve a perfectly ripened, juicy pear, it is important to allow the fruit to ripen in a cool, dry place while handling it delicately. Proper care during this process ensures the pear reaches its optimal juicy flavor and texture. Â

COLORADO SUPER SWEET CORN
Sweet Corn is freshly picked numerous times throughout the week from the fields of Brighton Colorado.  We carry the finest super-sweet corn available. Stop by and try some of this amazing produce.  You just can’t get enough.Â

COLORADO 'VINE RIPENED' TOMATOES
Vine-ripened tomatoes are often difficult to find in large quantities, but we are proud to offer them as part of our local produce selection. Our vine-ripened tomatoes are primarily grown in the fields of Grand Junction, Colorado, with supplies typically available through most of September. If you haven’t yet experienced a true vine-ripened tomato, you haven’t truly tasted what a real tomato is. These tomatoes ripened naturally on the vine, offer an unparalleled flavor that is far superior to those picked prematurely.

PIE CHERRIES
Pie Cherries can be purchased frozen from our stand during most of our open season. Â Additionally, you can order fresh cherries for pickup as soon as they arrive. CLICK HERE for more information on how to get on our Fresh Pie Cherries List.

PLUOTS
You may be asking, what exactly is a “Pluot”? A Pluot is a hybrid fruit, the result of crossbreeding a plum and an apricot. While it combines the best qualities of both fruits, it is known for having a flavor that leans more toward the sweetness and tang of a plum. Pluots are not only a delicious blend of two beloved fruits, but they also have a firm texture and vibrant color, making them as visually appealing as they are tasty.
The harvest for Pluots typically begins in late August, marking the arrival of one of the most anticipated fruits of fresh produce season. Many people who try Pluots for the first time will say, “These are the best plums I’ve ever eaten!” With their complex, juicy flavor, it’s no surprise why they garner such praise. We’re confident that once you taste one, you’ll agree with them. Tip – Be on the lookout for our Flavor Grenade Pluots in September. As their name suggests, these pluots deliver an explosion of incredible flavor that will delight your taste buds!
