Scofield Fruits Fresh Produce Refund Policy

At Scofield Fruits, we guarantee the freshness and quality
of our produce at the time of sale. Because our products are highly perishable,
all sales are final once items leave our stand. We strongly encourage
customers to inspect all purchases before completing the transaction. If there
is any issue, please notify us immediately—we’re happy to address concerns on
the spot. Any exceptions to this policy are made solely at our discretion.
Special Policy for Fresh Tart Cherries:
We follow a strict handling and refund policy for fresh tart cherries. Inspection
is mandatory at the time of purchase. Customers must pick up pre-ordered
fresh cherries within two days of arrival for sale. We begin the freezing
process at the end of the second day after cherries are made available for
sale to maintain their quality. Because these cherries are pitted and
de-stemmed, their shelf life is shortened, as the fruit is essentially
“opened.”
Please note that slight browning may be visible on the
top layer of cherries. This is due to the small air gap at the top of the
bucket. While every effort is made to reduce air exposure, it is not possible
to eliminate all air. This does not affect the quality of the fruit.
At times, fresh tart cherries may arrive slushy. This
decision, made by the grower or ourselves, is aimed at preserving the fruit’s
integrity and is consistent with the decades-long standards we uphold.
Non-Perishable Products:
For all non-perishable items (such as jams, jellies, salsas, honey, and all
non-food items), we will gladly offer a refund or exchange within 10 days
of purchase. Products must be unused or only slightly used, and the original
item must be returned to us. This does not include breakage or
damage resulting from misuse or abuse.
